COMMANDANT SUPPORT SERVICES

Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim was commissioned into the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) on 24th January 2000 and currently holds the position of Commandant Support Services at the Royal Brunei Navy. Since his enlistment on 24 January 2000, he has accumulated over two decades of dedicated military service, marked by a series of significant appointments both at sea and ashore.

He has served in numerous key roles, including his most recent appointment as Head of Inspectorate Cell, Royal Brunei Navy. Prior to that, he was entrusted as the Director of Religious Affairs at the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) from July 2016 until May 2024. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Weapon Engineering Officer at Headquarters Royal Brunei Navy, and served as Aide-de-Camp to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince from January 2012 to July 2014. He also served as Fleet Marine Engineering Officer and Officer Commanding of the Naval Training School, among other leadership roles within the Fleet Headquarters and Commander RBAF Secretariat.

Lieutenant Colonel Ainolnizam graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and is a graduate of the Command and Staff Course, where he earned the designation psc(j). His professional development includes completion of the 14th Executive Development Programme for Senior Government Officers, the 27th Command and Staff Course, and the Junior Staff Course. He has also undergone specialist and foundational training such as the Royal Navy Training Course, Weapon Engineering Application Course, and Quranic Studies Programme under the Skim Kefahaman Al-Quran.

In recognition of his service, Lieutenant Colonel Ainolnizam has been conferred several national honours and medals. These include the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Yang Amat Mulia, Darjah Ketiga (DPMB) in 2023, the Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (PIKB) in 2016, the Pingat Jubli Emas (PJE) in 2011, and the Pingat Laila Tugas (PLT) in 2001.

He is married to Dayangku Nurlainulqalbi binti Pengiran Idris, and together they are blessed with five sons.
